I was watching a blip.tv video embedded on a website (specifically, http://www.utest.com/webinars/more-bang-your-testing-buck). I had been watching in full-screen mode for a while. 30 minutes into the video I pressed spacebar to pause the video, then exited the blip video player's full-screen mode and opened a new tab. After I finished surfing on the new tab, I closed that tab and maximized the blip video box and attempted to replay. Video replay did not resume. Furthermore, the sound icon changed from a speaker icon with waves (indicating sound) to a speaker icon with an x through it (indicating mute). No matter what I did on that session, I could not get the video to resume (including rewinding/forwarding in the video).
However, when I clicked the "blip" icon in the embedded video, it popped the same video up in a new tab (as expected), and started playing in the new tab as expected. At that point, the video in the original tab, which had been refusing to resume, resumed itself in th
